how varied and believable Lyon makes her story settings as well as her
characters. Each novella had unique twists and delights.
While I enjoyed all the novels, my
favorite was Between the Lines. I loved
how Lyon used great literature to build her plot. Lyon’s use of one of
Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s Portuguese sonnets, “How do I love thee? Let me
count the ways,” is an apt description for Lyon’s newest collection of
